We don’t think that offending someone is as bad as oppressing them. This site may be offensive to some but most will find it refreshingly honest.

This website is intended for those who actually want to challenge and give up faith based beliefs that can be reasonably shown to be unjustified.

Faithaway.com is a pop culture blog promoting critical thinking over faith in the U.S. and around the world.

We want to debunk taking things on faith, and promote critical thinking and skepticism. We want to remove faith from the tool kit of our politicians, so legislative decisions can be made based on reason and evidence. If the only change you make in your life is you stop believing things on faith you will be less gullible and more likely to recognize bullshit when you hear it.

One person at a time we hope to get each visitor to this website to recognize that faith can be used to justify any religious position, and as such is unreliable. Faith is professed as the cornerstone of the beliefs from completely contradictory religions. If faith were reliable as a means of assessing what is true about the reality we share, then we would expect all people of faith to have the same conclusions. For an outsider trying to decide between Islam and Christianity, hearing that faith can lead people to believe either one is true, really kills the credibility of claims that any faith based believers actually found the correct answers to the really big questions about our reality.

Considering the total investment people put into their religious beliefs, the proposition that they have wasted their lifetime, energy, and likely money, on a lie, makes them feel mistaken, conned, and gullible, so it’s far easier to resist this kind of self reflection and just practice cognitive dissonance.

Well we are here to help you recognize the hard truths and thereby allow you to stop loosing more time and effort than is necessary to bad ideas. You can start making clearer decisions about efficiently allocating your resources, as well as the resources we all share.

And it cannot go without mention that if you think your god would be unhappy with the behavior or beliefs anyone, and also think you or anyone else has the right to impose restrictions on the liberties of others in accordance with what you perceive is your god’s will, intention, or to promote his happiness, or even for there best interests, you must first show that your god exists!

If you actually watch the YouTube channels that are featured at this website and do so with an intellectually honest position, you will easily be able to give up your faith based beliefs and especially any notion of a god who has a plan and can be offended if you don’t follow it.

Presuppositional Argument for God Debunked

Examining the laws of logic as used in presuppositional bullshit. The claim that laws of logic must be accounted for in order to use them is BS as demonstrated the fact that I don’t need to know how my car works or who built it in order to drive it. Like my car, the laws …

Do you really believe in the concept of the soul? Here are some issues that call into question the existence of the soul.

1. If our soul is a perfect creation of God, there would be no reason for god to test it here on earth. Therefore God makes all souls on earth imperfect on purpose. If God makes us imperfect on purpose, How can it be a sin (offensive to god) to be imperfect. How can we …

Obvious Problems With The Doctrine Of Hell

In our modern understanding of justice, the punishment should fit the crime. Putting a child in a torture chamber and burning them alive for stealing a piece of candy, would be considered immoral and rightly so, when considering the impact on human well-being as the standard against measuring right and wrong. (For those of you …

Even If There Were A God, The Concept Of Sin is Total Bullshit & Here Is Why.

While “sin” may have several different definitions, for this examination, sin is defined as a transgression against God, an action that is offensive to God, going against God’s will or intent. A transgression against another person, or an animal is not a sin, unless it violates God’s will, or is offensive to God himself. Do …

Questions For Scientifically Literate People Who Hold Christian Beliefs

First a few questions about the biblical account. 1. Do you accept that science understands genetics well enough to be trusted on the matter of genetic bottle necking? That it isn’t possible that there was ever a time when there was just two human beings alive, and a minimum population would be at least 50 …

Are you a believer? Consider the following…

Viced Rhino beautifully explains the science in regards to popular misunderstandings held by biblical creationists.

Question for Believers?

Considering the content of the above video, I’m only posing this question to those who do accept the story of Adam and Eve and the fall of man is a myth. If you don’t agree that the stories in Genesis are all myths, then the question below is not for you.

Accepting that we have the understanding that a mythical story underpins the common religious understanding that people are damaged, are born bad, are sinful by nature, and because of all that, people need saving from a mythical punishment, can you at least understand why so many non-believers think that the main point of Christianity, that Jesus is our savior from the above mentioned mythical punishment is totally undermined?

Do you agree that if there is a God, with a message for us that directly impacts our well-being for eternity, that this would be the most important thing that we can possibly understand?

If so, then why is an all powerful God so poor at communicating this message unambiguously?

The PDF above outlines many of the problems Non-believers have when taking a serious and honest look at Christianity and to some extent any other faith based religion.

The post that are included in the PDF above, are intended to be taken together, It will just take about one hour to read it all. Please consider it seriously and simply be honest with yourself.

How is it possible if there is one true god, that Christianity only manifested one time in one location, and never has appeared again and has in 100% of cases only been spread by a retelling of the story?

If The Christian God truly reveals himself to everyone, why have we never found a culture that independently developed a belief in Christianity?

You Can’t Know How Much Money Is In My Wallet

I’d like you to consider a scenario where knowing whether I had a hundred dollars in cash (us) in my wallet right at this moment was the single most important piece of information to your future success, and because I am in another city from you, you can’t verify the contents of my wallet.

Recognizing that for you the required information is not knowable is the most intellectually honest position.

Let’s add that I refuse to give you a direct answer. And when you ask others you get conflicting answers where roughly half tell you I do have a hundred dollars cash, and the others say I don’t. Also, if you get the wrong answer you will be put in jail.

As it turns out, the most intellectually honest position is still I don’t know.

Recognizing you don’t know also necessarily means you don’t actually believe it is true.

Being intellectually honest with yourself about the situation functionally leads to the same place as being an atheist regarding god claims.
